Bifidobacterium animalis subsp. lactis is a Gram-positive, anaerobic, rod-shaped bacterium commonly found in the large intestines of most mammals, including humans. It is one of the widely used probiotic strains within the Bifidobacterium genus. Bifidobacterium animalis subsp. lactis plays a key role in metabolic processes by fermenting glucose, galactose, and fructose, producing lactic acid, acetic acid, enzymes, vitamins, and other beneficial compounds.
Our proprietary strain, Bifidobacterium animalis subsp. lactis BL-G101 was isolated from the intestinal tract of healthy humans. This strain is resistant to gastric acid, bile salts, and digestive enzymes. Additionally, it strongly adheres to intestinal epithelial cells, which helps enhance immune function and maintain a balanced gut microbiota
